Joann Nieciecki
Financial Planner
What is your favorite part about being a financial planner?
Helping clients tune out the noise and build the financial plan that’s right for their needs and goals. Personal finance can be full of emotion, and I aim to provide clients with objective advice and education to help provide clarity in decision-making.
If you could make up your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?
Road guide to financial peace of mind and Excel ninja.
What are the best skills that you bring to this job?
Analytical thinking balanced with empathy and reason.
After a Strategy Session, how do you hope your clients feel when they leave the meeting?
I hope my clients feel understood and at ease at their strategy session and leave with a clear idea of their action plan going forward. My goal is to offer personalized advice catering to each client’s unique goals and comfort level throughout the planning process.
If you could pass on only one piece of advice to your clients, what would it be?
Build positive behaviors one small habit at a time.
On the weekends, you can find me…cheering on my husband and two sons at their various sports and activities, gardening, working on DIY home projects, or spending the weekend on a lake in Michigan or Wisconson.
Bucket list travel destination?
My bucket list travel destination has long been the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I took a couple semesters of Italian in college and have had my heart set on the idea ever since. Over the years, my husband and I have enjoyed incorporating cycling into our vacations after trying a self-guided cycling tour along the Rhine River in Germany. So now, my bucket list vacation would be a mash up of the two… a weeklong cycling tour along the Amalfi Coast.
What is one thing your coworkers didn’t know about you… until now?
I find it immensely difficult to talk (or write) about myself!
