In 2019-20, I made significant improvements to my health. I started working out regularly, lost weight, improved my eating…and yet. There was a little voice in my head, expressing concern that maybe I was being too strict with my eating habits.
When COVID hit, I was under stress (like a lot of people!) and turned to my favorite carby comfort food. And even though I kept up with my exercise, I still gained weight. I didn’t have the same internal fortitude I had before, to eliminate all carbs and only eat lean protein and green veggies. I realized I needed something more sustainable.
I finally settled on a program with support to help me through this (scary) transition – StrongerU. They focused on macros and gave me a macro number for carbs, protein, and fat. It was WAY more calories than I was used to eating when I was in “weight loss” mode! But I was tired of feeling like I was either “on” or “off” my eating plan, so I committed to their way.
With their tools and coaching, they do a great job of looking at your trends, instead of any single meal. I started to realize, I am actually pretty good at this! I started feeling less triggered about eating carbs.
If you’re never “done” with your finances, then maybe ask yourself, what does your money trend say about your situation? Click To TweetWho knows where I am at while you’re reading this, but that is sort of the point: it’s a process. And as you might have guessed, I would love for people to think about their money this way too. There is never going to be an end to this journey (until you’re dead).
And if that’s the case, that you’re never “done” with your finances, then maybe ask yourself, what does your money trend say about your situation?
Are you trending toward:
- Saving more or less?
- Feeling more (or less) aware of your spending habits?
- Feeling more (or less) peace of mind?
- Having more (or less) clarity over your situation?
The point is never perfection (it doesn’t exist). But if you think you might be able to figure out some ways to trend toward MORE awareness, clarity, and action around your finances, we can definitely help!
